Jan Van Onsem
Jan Van Onsem has a master's degree in clinical psychology (KU Leuven).
After that, he took the training as a gestalt therapist at the IVC, and as a psychoanalytic therapist at the KU Leuven.
He further specialised in year-long courses including relationship and family therapy (IVC), behavioural therapy (VCLB), solution-focused therapy (VCLB), group therapy (FMS), EMDR (Integrative) and couple therapy (Rapunzel).
He has had his own practice as a psychotherapist since 1999 and is a team member of SAAM-Ghent.
In the past, he has provided various training courses for, among others, the Psychologisch Instituut Heemstede (NL), IPSOC-Kortrijk and the VCLB umbrella organisation.
He has a special interest in working with dreams, the analytical psychology of C. Jung, the psychosynthesis of R. Assagioli, and everything related to meaning, philosophy of life and religiosity.
He is recognised by the NVAGT/EAGT as Gestalt therapist and as Gestalt supervisor, and by the VVPT as Psychoanalytic Therapist.
